I had some great conversations with Mr. Mawae in '95 on the AOL LSU board...

...giving him crap about the origin of the Leesville Wampus Cats...

...and talking about all things LSU! ...

In '95 he was with the Seahawks and was still relatively unknown (pre Pro Bowl)

He was a real nice guy and an intelligent poster on that board...

Dude is a REAL  guy....

    As could be expected....:thumb:

I was in the stadium when we beat Notre Dame 28-8 his senior season – 1971.

I graduated in '79 so it's quite possible. I grew up across the tracks on West Magnolia.

Did you graduate from Baker? I left there as a freshman to New Iberia, but my sister stayed and graduated Baker. I went to elementary at Baker Heights. Does the last name Cox ring a bell?
    Let me know, see ya.

My favorite Tiger from Football would have to be Kevin Faulk, he is one of the reasons for the football turnaround in the mid 90's, he was just incredible! But thinking of my favorite Tigers I also remember Cecil "the diesel" Collins, he could have been one of the greats before breaking his leg and then deciding to rob people. The guy was nuts but he could plow people over!

For baseball my favorite Tiger would have to be Barbier but Fontenot was my favorite at the time but the little bastard only stayed one year so he can't be my all-time favorite.

I am only 21 so I don't remember anything from the early 90's with Shaq and Chris Jackson; so my favorite player was the man who led LSU to the sweet sixteen in 2000, Stromile Swift. Those are my first memories of LSU basketball actually being good, listening on the radio and not hearing that they had turned the ball over for the 30th time.

I remember a Vicki that I think grew up in the Baker Heights area.

It'd be hard to pick just one, so I'll go with the guy I thought of first...

    Dalton Hilliard.
