it is more or less unlimited, with possible exceptions for nuclear stuff, but i am not sure about that yet. right so all he has to do is claim he decided this stuff was declassified when he was president. you cant prove he didnt. because he was president and president have all sort of secret shit nobody with the govt has said they were nuclear documents, and its still unclear how this law applies maybe they didnt ask. trump claims he told them to take whatever and do whatever. if they didnt take it then, then ask them. dont assume. trump has not claimed they planted evidence.
Is that normal for a search warrant? Not allowing the owner of the resident being searched or his/her representatives to see what they're doing. Unless explicitly stated in the warrant, they should have pushed back.
They are still the resonsibility of Trump, not the GSA. Plus, if this is true then why not just give them all back when they requested it? Why not return them while the DOJ was present in June? Why keep them if there were sent there mistakenly?
dont know. we do know the items they were searching for were explicitly listed in the warrant, and a list of items taken was given, so i dont know how secret the process of search and seizure is. i dont know that it is odd they were not allowed to oversee the search, but i think we can all agree with trump we hope they didnt plant anything.
you tell me, are you implying trump meant to sell them to the libyans? or maybe something more mundane, like the administrators on both sides are stupid or incompetent or dont care or all 3 of those things and its not a big deal at all "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
If you had followed along instead of getting caught up in the web of lies spread by the left you would see things more clearly. 1. GSA mistakenly sent documents to Trump 2. GSA knew exactly what was there 3. Trump had already (before he left office) declassified the documents 4. Trump team and GSA were working on returning what was needed. I don't know details but this is also not in dispute as the agency itself has said they were working with the Trump team. 5. Now, put your big brain to work and ask yourself IF what was there was known (and it was) and if it was SO vital that they be returned and put back into a SCIF or whatever then WHY did they wait 2 years to go get them? You know that doesn't make a lick of sense but you won't let yourself admit it. Nuke secrets! Seriously! If there were ANY truth to that Mar a Lago would have been carpet bombed on J7 2021. This is a political stunt and nothing more and it I going to cost that owl beaked fuck Garland his job. While we are on Nuke codes and shit, where were you when Bill Clinton lost the damn things. That's right, he LOST them! For months no one knew where they were! Remember when they invaded his house?
likewise he cannot prove that he did. sure....while they are president. Not after. So, again, why? If it was all a big misunderstanding I doubt that there would be subpoe na's and search warrants. There is more to this story that hasn't come out yet. I suspect it won't until there is a trial...if it comes to that. https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/12/poli...-trump-showdown-justice-department/index.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/08/11/garland-trump-mar-a-lago/ Given what we've been discussing about the President's authority to declassify, I'd say that either Trump didn't declassify those docs like he said or they do pertain to nuclear secrets, which would render Trump's declassification moot and irrelevant.
I asked you first. I haven't implied anything. I've simply posed a question which you've not answered. If this were more mundane then Trump should have nothing to worry about, right? But he does and he is clearly worried about the investigation. Are you implying that the FBI and DOJ have made all of this up in an effort to "get" Trump?
correct, and we cant claim he is guilty without proving he didnt, or even really that he needed to do anything beyond think about declassifying. perhaps those items were brought to his southern office whilst he was president. and if not, then perhaps he just boxed up a bunch of shit and took it because he can. because literally he can. again, i am not sure what your point is other than implying he wants to sell secrets, which is absurd. i am not sure that is correct, and also it surely depends on the extent to which these secrets have to do with nukes. like if a top secret document is an analysis of russia's chances of nuking ukraine, and the analysis states they wont becuse we have secret nuclear subs in the black sea, thats a secret technically about nuclear weapons, but it also something everyone knows and is isnt damaging to release. thats just run of the mill analysis that the govt marks as secret. now if the secret is the specific manufactuting process and procurement source for nuclear materials, the exact thing iran needs to complete a nuke, thats different, but lets not go off assuming thats what it is. the point is lets not go assuming shit we dont know and implying with zero evidence, deadfully nefarious motives on the part of trump. i know the media wants you to freak out, and you bought it when they told you hunters laptop was russian disinfo. dont be fooled again when they tell you trump is selling secrets to russia.
