Iowa first played football on record in 1889
LSU first played football on record in 1893

Iowa has total record of 539-487-39
LSU has a total record of 659-371-47

Iowa and LSU both have a total of 12 Conference Titles

Iowa has 1 NC in 1921 with National Title votes in 1922, 1956, 1960 though none were ever given to Iowa in reality.
LSU has 3 NC in 1908, 1958 and 2003 with National Title votes in 1935, 1936, and 1962. I do realize we lost 2 games in 1935 but we still got a system to give us a vote.

Iowa has a bowl record of 10-8-1
LSU has a bowl record of 17-17-1

    Iowa's stadium holds 70,397
    Death Valley holds 91,600

Kirk Ferentz has a record at Iowa of 41-31
Nick Saban has a record at LSU of 48-15

I may have some errors. Please advise me if I do.

LSU's first national title was in 1958, right?

Iowa has no recognized national titles, but has five using the Bama counting method.

    Right.

I went looking through several sites and it showed Iowa has having gotten the 1921 in which you went 7-0.

Is debatable though and when it comes to that crap, what isn't?

I think LSU is 30-8 over the past 3 years and we are 30-7... so both KF and Saban have put their mark on the board. It's a good thing we're not Notre Dame or KF may have been fired after his first three years.... picture that!
We appreciate the chance to play your great team with your recent big time success... and tradition. We promise to play hard!!

Just trivia... but Iowa has only lost one game in the past three years when wearing their black home jerseys. (that was to Iowa State early in 2002). We get to be the home team in Orlando.

    Here is hoping

That the LSU players are more into the bowl game than we as fans are , all we worry about is he or is he not going to be OUR coach next year . If the LSU players are not into the game now, Iowa , will kick that Tiger tail all over National TV and that will be great for all the young players to see . If Saban takes the pro gig I will say like Steve in less than 3 years he Saban will be back in college football . He has not had back to back champs yet . I am talking about undefeated teams ,SCal look at them two years in a row !! You can wish him well but he will be back in college ball !!! Geaux Tigers Beat Iowa
