Just trivia...But since when have jersey colors affected the outcome of a game? Just trivia...Can anyone answer it? LOL!
Notre Dame vs. USC in the late 80's. ND was losing at halftime badly and was wearing their dark blue in the first half. Lou Holtz had the team change their jerseys at halftime. They came out in the second half wearing Green Jerseys and the gold pants, looked hideous. The team was so pumped that they tore a new one for USC and went on to win the game.
someone told me that LSU was the first southern team to win the national championship, in 1908 when we shared with Penn, if its true that would be a huge honor, and i think it was an OU fan that told me that
I'm not sure if Jersey color affects the outcome, but there is another color-related bit of trivia about Iowa... Hayden Fry was a Pscyh major, and back in the 80's he had the vistor's lockerooms painted PINK from top to bottom at Kinnick Stadium. Many teams bring in white paper to cover the walls before their team arrives... The best thing is that Kinnick is undergoing a $95mm renovation and will have brand new locker rooms.... and the visitor's lockeroom will be custom pink!
