So why would they need to create a sixth bowl? Wouldn't it make sense to make the BCS Championship Game the title game since it rotates between the four bowls (Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, & Orange) already? Brian ~Go Tigers!~
I caught that when it was posted. Shook my head, read it again, wondered if possibly I needed glasses (or remedial education) and moved on... I watched the thread progress...knowing, someone would pick it up. So what? Have you considered the fact that the SEC would no longer be spliting the amount of money we get...but, it would go into a pot and all Div. 1 teams would get a piece? Have you even looked at how the NCAA handles basketball? The reason you don't find University Presidents and Ath. Directors wanting a playoff is exactly that. NO if, and's or but's. I HOPE you are just trying to be a smart arse here...LSU, among a selective few, has a self substaining Athletic Dept. We go to a playoff system? That's over for a lot of schools...possibly yours and mine as well.
wait, did that albert means comment give me away? actually, i think id prefer the bcs teams to break away from the ncaa and have a 16 team playoff. split the money that tv contract would generate about 64 ways might make us better off. the fans would certainly have it better with every game being great (or atleast the chance of being great). the 3 or 4 rentawins/year are a no win situation for lsu.
