I wouldn't worry about which to choose. XM's finachials have been in the crapper the last few quarters. Most of the folks who got XM free with their car aren't renewing and now that the FCC has blocked any merger, XM will likely fall by the wayside in a few years, maybe months. It's a shame because I love the commercial-free music on XM, but with all the exclusives on Sirius, its an easy choise
Nascar on the radio...I was glad they took that off xm...never have really liked nascar.I guess ive always figured if we can put a man on the moon we can certainly get one to go around in circles in an automobile at 200 miles an hour.As far the radio..."he is making a left turn and he is making another left turn... uh oh ... not quite ...crash in turn three."sheesh , no thanks.
I got Serious my freshman year at LSU when I realized grades were important. My wife got me XM radio as a birthday gift two years ago. It really doesn't bother me that it doesn't have the SEC. I go to all of our home football games and the away games are always televised. Sound like I won't be having XM much longer though.
Stick with Sirius...... I have had for 3 years now. MUCH better then XM. And yes I have had both for a bit. My wifes car has XM for a year.
does sirius have something that can compete with Ethel and Lucy... cuz I buy XM soley for those 2 channels. XM isnt going anywhere... they just signed a deal to be included in every toyota until 2017 as well as hondas. they have 6,000,000 subscribers and their revenue is $857million adn they are turning a $150+million profit each year. not closing up shop anytime soon.
I have had multiple subscriptions to both services for several years. Both have strong points and weak points. Sirius music channels are definitely only for those who want to hear the same songs over and over. And some people do like this and do not want to be exposed to new music. But Sirius has a much better sports lineup and Stern. I just wish they would have designated channels for specific sports or teams. It is really a mess. XM does a much better job of the way they handle sports -- just no good sports content.
