Yes, and I believe Sirius actually does that music better. 1. First Wave-80's alternative. The stuff MTV was playing when it first came on. 2. Alt. Nation-alternative music including stuff that some would call edgier and harder. 3. Left of center-indie and college type music. This has become my go to channel, but I spend almost as much time on Alt. Nation.
there are rumors that the two are going to merge... I agree... both have their positives.. I like actually listening to golf on XM.. I really screwed up getting it because when i travel.. i want to listen to the NFL, and NBA... I can still pick up wwl even in colorado on night football games.
I wouldn't downplay XM's deals and contracts with all those car manufactures. That's a signifigant advantage over Sirius, and I don't see XM closing shop in the near future.
We have studied and compared XMs finacial statements with Sirius in one of my finance classes. XM is really struggling to stay afloat at this time even with their competeitive advantage of car maunfacturer contacts. Sirius has gained plenty of ground and is likely to kill the once held competitive advantage XM once had. I am not saying XM will go extinct anytime soon but their future is quite cloudy as of now.:thumb:

I just got a SciFi2 for XM and I love it. It has a ticker at the bottom that you can customize sports alerts of your favorite teams in a multitude of sports. I have the Tigers, Saints, Astros all keyed up. It also has 30 minutes of TIVO like control. So when you hear that awesome blast from the past song, you can replay it many times over. And 5 lines of display is quite awesome. It's a vetty vetty nice. I needed to upgrade my receiver pretty badly as I had the base model Roady2. And I got it at Wal Mart for the whopping price of $15. Regularly $90, it was on clearance for $30. When I got to the register it rang up $15. So I went back and got the last one they had (2 for the price of 1, fool). Needless to say, that was a great trip to Wal Mart. I luckily saw it as it wasn't in the same area with the other Sirius/XM radio stuff.
