    AUNuma1,

We beat you fair and square, you missed FG's, we dropped points on touchdowns, go cry to your boyfriend. Last night we looked like a team who was playing its' 11th game in 9 weeks and 6 days. Our two leading rushers coming in to the season didn't play, our starting safety never played a snap(which was a last minute injury), we lost a WR and our quarterback early in the 3rd. You say it was so bad, why do you go look up how many yards Auburn gave up to UGA when you played them, how many....

How about a whoping 515! we gave up 250 last night.

UGA beat us like they did because of a pick six, and three short field TDs, one of 15, and the other two less than 50. Now call it what you want, we all know we were dominated on the score board, but with all those players out, short fields, and turnovers it isn't surprising what happened. they had no turnovers and two penalties for fifteen yards to go with short fields. So get off your high horse, WE BEAT YOU 20-17, won the west and lost fewer games in the regular season, stop trying to justify why you feel so bad that you watched it from home!

Hey Hawker45 the big ten won't just add any team for a 12th team, like Iowa State, Syracuse, or Pitt because the big ten divides bowl game revenue evenly among the 11 teams. So adding Pitt or Iowa State actually could mean the big ten doesnt game anything revenue wise when you consider that the loser of CG like LSU this year could miss out on a bcs bid.

The big ten invited ND back in 99 and they turned it down. They are most likely the only team in the area that would add revenue with the 12 way split.

Adding a South Carolina (Iowa State) or Arkansas (Syracuse) with their miniscule tv markets to the big ten would mean that the schools would actually get less money.

Nice try, but you can replace, "when teams like Georgia, Notre Dame and Florida State will be going to BCS bowls," with the phrase, "when teams like Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Florida State will be going to the BCS bowls."

Excellent response. There is absolutely no doubt that Georgia is deserving of being in a BCS bowl.

Those are all arguments that have surfaced, for sure. Arguments from the other side would be 1) 12 teams allows for a championship game, which creates revenue currently not available; 2) 12 Teams would add an additional bowl of eligiblity to the league; 3) we revenue share in basketball, too, and adding a league tourney has added significant revenue; 4) Adding Syracuse or Rutgers would have a positive effect on east coast viewers, which was the catalyst for the ACC moving north; 5) All conferences who have expanded, have increased revenue and expanded their total TV viewing audience.... the "if you snooze, you lose" argument.

So.... although your points are valid, they are also skewed.

We were preseason ranked in the top 5 huh? What a shame it is we had to play any games and tarnish that ranking. :dis:

    What an interesting post.

First, you apparently don't know much about this season's SEC teams as LSU wasn't "clearly" the best team in the conference, something many people on this site would readily admit.

What's your beef with conference title games, Big Ten boy? Oh, I see...you guys are terrified of major conferences that *do* have conference title games because such games *do* count in the eyes of the BCS.

It was LSU's smothering of Georgia in 2003 that helped seal a Sugar Bowl bid, just to name one example. Yes, a team that plays that 12th game runs a risk of being upset and ruining a "dream" season, but true champions don't run from challenges.

Why don't you guys add a 12th team and have a title game of your own, instead of having champions in some seasons crowned without playing the very best teams in the conference (example: say, a Wisconsin team that goes 11-0 and avoids Michigan and Ohio St.).
