I'm going tell you why we run it so much... Alfred Blue, Spencer Ware, Kenny Hilliard, J.C. Copeland and Jeremy Hill... We have one of the best offensive lines in college football and the best defense in college football... Running the football you decrease your chances of turning the ball over and you can easily control the clock and the momentum of the football game.. God damn Les Miles just has all the weapons and hasn't even showed what he's got in store... I'm excited about this year and I think we dominate this conference.

Reminds me of the old saying, When you throw the ball, three things can happen and only one of them is good.

See power football making it's way back into the collective conscientiousness in short fashion in the SEC. Georgia has seen the light and was rewarded with a power beat down against Mizzou that wouldn't have happened as long as it was 4 wide receivers and let her rip. The barn decided enough of this spread em out and lord help us on defense. Even Moo St. has slowed er down with huddles, power backs and bunch formations. The Gators have stopped spreading their wings and are letting the pro-set do their talking for them. LSU decided, finally, last season to fully get away from the crowton spread and spread defense that closely associated itself with it. It would be easy to say this is the Saban effect and imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but I won't, I won't, the heck I won't.

Nick Saban was coaching at LSU long before he was at Alabama so don't start yappin about how good you guys are with him. Lets not start hatching our eggs yet buddy Alabama has a long way to go. I see A.J. MacCaron was sacked quite a few times against WKU and you guys had rough time running the ball as well. Don't worry Nov. 3rd coming soon enough..

You're missing the point. Saban created the style of football played in the SEC today, just so he could change it up years later. And that must be what he's doing THIS year. See, this year, his teams run for 100 yds as a team against WKU, but they pass the ball a lot. He's just mind frikkin everybody, that sneaky Saban is. Next year all teams are gonna abandon the rushing game and pass it all over like Saban, regardless of the 6 sack potential against chitty teams.

I'm detecting some cynicism here. Regardless of offensive identity, always wise to be balanced enough to take what the d doesn't want. On the back end, it did kinda look like we were out to practice early.
