The original input that went into the east/west divisions, obviously would go back to the championship pedigree of each team. This would take it far beyond the latest trophy design. The fact that the BCS era has only verified it's accuracy, shows that the SEC has got it right. Sending Missouri to the east is a credible way to ensure the balance of power for decades to come.
No problem... I still have trouble coming to grips with the two Bama teams championships, but it makes the conference look good so... lol
WEST 1. LSU 2. Texas A&M 3. Arkansas 4. Missouri 5. Ole Miss 6. Mississippi St 7. Vanderbilt EAST 8. Alabama 9. Auburn 10. Tennessee 11. Florida 12. Georgia 13. S Carolina 14. Kentucky
Makes sense to me. I can easily see 4-5 Top 25 teams in each of those two Divisions annually. And I think it sets everything up for an EVEN BIGGER game if LSU and Bama meet each other for the SEC Championship game every year or so.
:geaux: All that's left now is tying up the loose ends/legal issues. Seems like it's gonna happen pretty quickly now. Doesn't sound like they're real happy about it, but Mizzou seems to realize their best hope for the future is in SEC. Wow the west loses Auburn and Alabama, and gain Mizzou and Texas A&M? May as well book tickets for Atlanta every year if this happens.
Exactly what I was tinking hell we should all go together and buy a house!:thumb: We will own the west if that is the case.
They seem like a reluctant bunch when it comes to joining the SEC. Even more reason to hold out for someone else IMO. If they really don't want to leave the big 12 let them stay.
As I hear it .... MO will be the 7th team on the East. Though .. I would not be opposed to the set up you came up with.
