The first tape I remember listening to was Thriller.

The first tape I remember buying was Tone Loc. I might have been 10.

The first 45 was "On Top of Spaghetti" and the first LP was "Little Toot", about a Tugboat.

i think my first few tapes i ever owned, my parent bought when i was real young, Garth Brooks.

The first time i started to deviate from my parent's music and i had to buy my own: Master P Ghetto D.

I remeber the day and all i had to beg my mom to let me get it. I think i remember it so well because it is the only CD i have ever bought. (man i loved me some Napster)

EDIT: HAHA after reading all of the above and re-reading mine, makes me sound young.. (or maybe a few of you.....)

My first album was Punk in Drublic by NOFX. I never bought a single. I think my second album was the Blue album by Weezer.

Can't remember my first LP, but my first 45 was "Frankenstein" by the Edgar Winter Group. I can still see the look on my dad's face when I played it.

Sir, may I introduce you to Richard Cheese:

Again, I'm glad I am the first to make this claim. While others have mentioned the LP, my first single was the .45 of "Beth" or the flip side was equally great "Detroit Rock City" I've been a KISS fan ever since. Well until they got all glam and took the paint off. Then they got back together and painted up again and I got to see them in 96 I think it was. They were a bit gereatric but still KISS with the paint and original members.
