Because you don't prep for the future in the 4th quarter down 15-0 against the #1 defense in the land. That happened with Lee his freshman year, which also made me more confident in him as a senior in being able to recognize and handle the pressure. I mean, I would like to see what Mett has and we will next year, but I think Lee deserves to go in first. He's cleaned up after JJ many times in the past.

 

Yea but if the argument is what is there to lose at that point then why not. Lee has never, ever, ever played remotely well against Bama.

 

I'm saying that you could mess up a young QB by throwing him in that situation like what happened to Lee. Lee is done after this game so if he gets messed up, at least he did it fighting for LSU. We don't know how Mett would respond under such pressure while we've seen Lee have his ups and downs, tonight could have been an up. Mett will have his opportunities and hopefully will be able to redeem LSU in the big game.

And that's a lie, he played well whenever CLM put him in during the 2010 game. His deep pass to Randle iced the game for us.

 

Sure he has, he came in and made a clutch throw 2 years ago on a 3rd and long that possibly won the game for LSU. If you can without a doubt say that he would have crapped the bed as bad as JJ did then please pm me 6 numbers between 1-44.

1 touchdown, 7 interceptions. .41 completion percentage. He also came in when Jefferson got hurt in 09 and did absolutely nothing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Jarrett Lee is terrible against Alabama, look at his history against them. I'm not talking about any other opponent. Only Alabama.
