Also, under ObamaCare, 250K plus earners will already taxed an additional 3.8% starting Jan 1.

This does not include the fiscal cliff rate increases.

I think that right now certain programs are underfunded and some are over funded. I also think that some people are paying way too little in taxes because of the influence they have due to their wealth which creates the current economic conditions that are great for a couple people, but bad for the rest of us. I'd like to see those programs funded, some others cut, the wealthy taxed at a much, much higher rate. When economy is growing and jobs come back, I'd like to see the programs cut back because they're not needed anymore.

I was assuming that you had done some homework and determined exactly what number was the right amount for "enough". Did you or are you one of those people who think that any taxes are too much? If so, you're living in the wrong country. There are plenty of places that might suit your beliefs, but they're mostly unlivable.

Our spending is 25% of GDP.

Can you tell me why we need more revenue?

This countr has a spending problem. Revenue is already to high. Keep taxing job creators and one day all this country will have left is govt dependents. Flat tax of 20-21%. That way everyone pay " their fair share" as the hnic says.

Bullshit. Are you going to make me post the GDP graphs again? The ones that show the economy has been steadily recovering for three years? Or the positive job growth for three years? The Republicans get most of the blame for the impasse on debt, spending, and deficit.

And the Republicans had GOP President, Senate, House and Supreme Court for 6+ years? So what? What do you imagine that this trivia means?
