Budweiser and Krispy Kreme are interesting short term dividend providers...I used to pull stocks for my old boss while I was in school. He had purchased those in 2000. Take a look at how well they've done since then...

Scratch that...Budweiser he's had for a long time, only been tracking it since 2000...

Oh, and ramah...I addressed everyone in this thread that gambling is for idiots...you decided to refer to ME personally first. Don't go acting as if Brett didn't cc: us both on that warning, Mr. Prickford.

l-and I'm sure I'm not alone-get tired of your worn out crowing...and I believe that some regret their decision to tell you that a self imposed banishment would be too much a few years ago.

After I continually beat you up from pillar to post on your ridiculous claims to have "Broken down film for LSU assistant coaches and helped them recruit" and then talked about how even though the NCAA defines you that way, and even spelled out the bylaws that proved you are, that you aren't a booster...and then called you out as if I didn't know who Daniel Robainawitz is...and then made you look like a fool for saying LSU lost its shot at the national title for the Ole Miss WIN...You'd think you'd shut your long in the tooth piehole up...

I'll bet your family is as bored of you as we are...

Now go fix me a hamm sammich on toast, w/cheese...and easy on the ham...That's a grill cheese, there, Vegas line boy...Enjoy your weekend of putting hard earned money on the games of chance...

    ;-)

P.S.-->I attached an image for you...Those OU boys had it right last year...

Gentlemen, please - gambling is for entertainment...

You pay for the entertainment you enjoy, why do you have beef with others who do the exact same thing? Betting on sports is entertainment.

I didn't have a beef with him...I made a good-natured statement about gambling being silly...I didn't call him out personally...

He called me a biotch and referred to me personally...then cried foul and talked about the message Brett sent to us both about staying away from each other...Well, I was talking to everyone in the thread, not just him...he chose to get personal. Not me.

Guess the truth hurts, don't it, you big "overhead welder" from Ramah!

Having said all that, I have no ill will harbored towards those that gamble...Just think there are better ways to spend your $...

    Thank you!

Absolutely entertainment ... especially when LSU is hot

And especially when your picks are hot, eh! 3/3 this week :thumb:

Entertainment is also a trip to Europe (photos coming soon when Brett opens his P.O. Box and reinstates priveleges) to see the Matterhorn in Zermatt, visit Heidelberg Castle, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck, Vienna, Venice and Lucerne ... and kicking back for a week after that in Amsterdam (those coffeehouses there are sure entertaining ... and there's a missil twister in the red light district I just adore ... clean photos coming, I promise)

We've got a lounge for those who want to "Schwab" the deck with their peanut butter samiches, don't we ... my bad or what ...

Maybe I can pop into that lounge and talk Football point spreads instead of whether my Vanguard Explorer Fund shares (740K at 38% of my current portfolio at present after a 1% drop this week) would be better sitting in another one of my funds until after the election and market stabilization in March 2005 ... or maybe I can sass Martin during one of his tirades on politics ... what if Bush wins again after he takes the majority of the nine key states in this upcoming race ... and what if ...

    :hihi: :hihi:

    Entertainment ... yeah, buddy!

actually sports betting has become one of the lesser profit areas of a casino over the past 20 years whereas you used to be able to lay your mortgage if you wanted yet now you'd have a hard time laying 10 large at any one spot.

This is because people are privy to much more and better information than at any point in history. If you think people that make money are 'rare' then I guess it depends what you call rare. I have friends across the country who have made money sharing information within an inner circle on college games mainly, on the 18-22 year olds you think is a bad investment. They had 14 profitable years over the past 17 and some quite substantial. Some (very few) do it for a living whereas I simply enjoy watching football and realized I had a pretty good knack for it and enjoy playing with the numbers. Its entertaining to me only because its profitable yet its all disposable income, if there is such a thing.

Its no different than investing for a lot of people....throwing cash at dot.coms or any other stock proved it can be nothing more than legalized gambling in the worse way. the numbers you work with are often inflated, understated or totally 'cooked'. I could have retired at 26 if my stock options through my company had held up. That's the breaks.

Its all about knowledge. People who obviously don't know enough about it make general assessments and think the average person who 'gambles' is pissing away their children's lunch money. For many its cheap entertainment and makes a boring game interesting....for others its like IBM and not Enron.

You claim to know about Wall Street and investing so I'm not sure how you can legitimately think a stockbroker is not worse than the average bookie.

I'll let martin explain why one is legal over the other.

But its fun to be misinformed and believe grandma's 'the house always wins' as she is feeding those slot machines. That pays for it all.

I don't really care for gambling, because it's a much less exact science...

I'm not here to say I'm a stock expert...Never have...

I was here saying there were better ways to invest your money...

SOMEONE here decided to get personal, once again...and it wasn't me...Then he got mad when I had to show him that I don't care how much money he makes, he is still one thing before all others: a massive tool.

Then he cried saying Brett sent me a message to stay away from me. It was sent to BOTH of us...and I still find it odd that this guy can get away with talking about people as, "Gargling with sperm" and cast aspersions at people regarding their ethnicity, their background, their sexual orientation, and everything else with absolutely NO retribution from the administration here, while others are chided because they call him out and are then interpreted to be downing gamblers...

I'll say it for the THIRD time now...I have no problem with people who gamble. I gamble. I think there are better things to do with your money. Thank you for the lecture.

Ramah, if you're out there...We don't care where you go on vacation. I went to see Aerosmith at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Colliseum in April, and met up with two girls from UAB the night before in Mobile...I'm not here to share details, because I'm not out for affirmation from those around me.

So who cares if you go up the Matterhorn or down on little boys in Singapore?

I don't come here to shoot my mouth off, throw my money around, or toot my own horn...

    Get a life.
