Danielson is actually a Big Ten guy, he is a Purdue grad. Good to see he is objective though, unlike Herbstreit.

can we start a campaign to get cbs to hire ron franklin and oust vern lundquist or better yet, replace one of the mike's on Lincoln Financial, whichever one does play by play. Im sure he'd be glad to switch for some cash after being demoted to crap games on the deuce.

Start making the SEC game of the week at night, primetime, with RF and GD bringing it to us in hi-def. JP/LF really is a low budget operation that needs to advance into the 12th century.

obviously fox will never compete due to their stupid regional guidelines. I really do enjoy those montana state games regularly.

Ron Franklin is the best play by play guy around.

i think most can agree to that. i think the holly rowe incident last year may be the reason he was demoted or at least the excuse used to get idiot bob davie in the booth. Im not certain though. he even has that southern accent that fits well for the sec broadcasts.

odds are you werent watching. it was purdue and I think nd. franklin and davie in the booth, rowe grazing the sidelines.

ron was questioning the fact that purdue kept calling timeouts losing by about 4 touchdowns late in the 4th. holly was talking to the purdue dc which was odd because they were getting shellacked while trying to take questions in her ear and listening to the booth. So holly said something of the effect,

Ron, what does it say if the coach is giving up then the players will give up.

Ron replied, Holly, it aint giving up, it 49-17 sweetheart. (or whatever the score was)

of course ESPN heads forced ron to apologize after they issued a statement to say how demeaning his tone was and apologized as well. i guess lard ass would have been better. she does resemble ms piggy or is it loretta switt (i think thats her name). either way, i hate how ridiculous it all is. Cant say a damned thing.

    Ugh, that's so lame.

Ron Franklin's broadcasts of LSU games at night are a sole consolation prize of not being able to go to the games. If he was to call all SEC games, a conference that he's covered for years now, as the head play-by-play, it's a win-win. Plus, he and old buddy are reunited.

I like it a-lot. (Forrest voice).
