    Culturally, Louisiana is three states:

North Louisiana -- Rednecks. Baptist. Republican. Restrictive liquor laws.

South Louisiana -- Cajuns. Catholic. Democrat. Few liquor laws

New Orleans area -- Africans, Creoles, and Yats. Catholic. Democrat. No liquor laws.

NorCal more conservative? Not even close. They lay claim to Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Diane Feinstein not to mention former Mayor Willie Brown. Why do you think we refer to kal students as hippies and Stanford no longer calls themselves the Indians? The land of fruits and nuts is alive and well and most live in the Northern part. They do a great job with fermented grapes though.

You got that right, USC... matter of fact, this afternoon, probably around 4 pm, the City of san Francisco will ban all plastic bags in grocery stores.
That's Northern Cal for ya. Southern Cal.... well, they're telling the new illegals that there's really no need to steal plastic bags.

Last year I was up in the City and went into a grocery store........without my own burlap sack. I guess it's nearly a violation in some parts.

How can you tell the new illegals from the old ones? As far as I can tell they just keep trading places.

That's the problem with being a little green. We have our own shopping bags we take with us. Not because we're hippies, but because we're tired of having 10,000 plastic bags around the house. So when we whip out our chico bags, people star at us like we're the biggest hippies in the city but we're about as far from hippies as you can get.

I am in political hell living in the bay area being a conservative republican.

The evening news is like watching a Democrat campaign meeting.

Fruits and nuts surround me and i aint talking about trees.

I miss the south where most deviants keep it to themselves.

Well, at least Mayor Newsome isn't boring. New angle every day.

Hard to imagine most of the state's death row inmates are in San Quentin.
