I cannot wait to watch Skyler return kicks again this year. Having a good return game has been a mainstay since Saban has taken over, and its literally one of my favorite parts of the game, sitting there knowing that Skyler could take it all the way any time he returns a kick.
Anybody besides me notice the difference in special teams play since Mike Haywood left? When he was coach it seemed like we had at least one block in the back on every punt or kickof return. Now it's almost unheard of. And the difference in the domnation on the defensive side of special teams is like night and day.
I definitely noticed the departure of the block-in-the-back penalty. I assumed Nick took measures to remedy the problem. It seems so simple to me. If you can see his name, don't block him.
It is very noticably missing!!!!! I'm not sure why the sudden change in penalties on punt returns but it has been a significant change for the better. :geaux: :lsug:
What I noticed was how this was an article out of the LSU student paper. How come the Advocate hasn't had more stuff on spring ball? I mean I look at al.com and those papers have tons of stuff on Auburn and Bama but we have one story a day that says nothing and then some days nothing.
Yeah, it was probably called "wind sprints after practice"...at least that's what my old coach would have done...
This is how Saban wants it! Nothing to report, nothing to gain by the opposition, whomever that may be.
Because they would actually have to leave the office to see practice and there isn't a Krispy Kreme on the way. Tha Advocate sports writers have ben lazy for years and usually just write opinion or use information someone else printed days ago. :geaux: :lsug:
