1. On our side where it already was. That's a bad argument. And a foolish call, work or no work. In my opinion of course.
  2. Fair enough, but answer truthfully; would you be saying that tonight if it had worked? Would we even be having the discussion?

  3. The outcome doesn't change my view if a call works. My view of course may be wrong.

Like les' fake punt from the ez In his very first game for LSU at Arizona st. I think Im still in disbelief on that one. I considered it the worst call ive seen but I'll be damned if it didn't work. But in this situation I didn't think it was as bad as that one.

Everyone has their opinion with these things. Most think it's the right call only if it works like you said. My opinion is often clear before les decides as I usually get a full timeout and we can all discuss.
  4. The momentum then would have been.....with the Tigers, which is exactly where the momentum was before the "on-sides kick" call. It was unnecessary.
  5. We were discussing that.
  6. Did Les call that? I always thought the punter took off on his own, kind of like Wing did last year against FU.
  7. But you'd have had even more if it had worked. And I'm sure you realize that momentum tends to build and grow if you cultivate it, like CLM did vs Florida on 4th down after 4th down.
  8. The onsides kick was to put a dagger in the gump heart. Recover & score and they are reeling out of it. It showed me the killer instinct so many has wished for from Les.
    VampMuse and StaceyO like this.

  9. Nah you have it til something changes it. It doesn't really accumulate. You can keep it or lose it.
  10. Everyone knows Les is here for awhile. There are no coaches available now that could come in, change philosophies and have the team remain as successful from the very beginning as it is now.

With that being said, Les made some calls that hindered his team from obtaining its goal. There continues to be questionable playcalling, poor game/time management, and little ingenuity on offense. Recruiting on the offensive side of the ball will be effected by this if not now, eventually.

Chavis has done a great job with the defense. The defense has played a key part in some close victories. But I think it was also proven this weekend that banking on one facet of your team too much will eventually bite you in the ass.
