    What I don't get is how all of a sudden having your team keep control of the ball and erase time on the clock is a bad thing?

    That's the essence of football.

    I understand that this was beyond "too close for comfort", but I am astounded that people are actually upset that LSU took so long and took so much time off of the clock on that final drive.

    this was more interesting 2 years ago. this is what les corrected in the offseason, remember? it was what he made top priority along with improving JJs ability.

    There is a balance to be achieved here. Yes there are times we need to run off the clock. But most of the game we must be able to take advantage of our opportunities. A team that is consistently slow getting the plays on the field will get fewer plays run during their time of possession. Fwer plays = fewer opportunities and results in a Bottom-5 offense.
