I don't know what the hell Woods was thinking on #5 but that might be the worst golf shot I have ever seen. I will freely admit that if I played that hole 100, hell 1000 times I MIGHT put it on the green once! Might! But i can assure I would NEVER put it where Tiger did. That was awful. Just Charles Barkley Turrible!
It's called a "double cross" and happens when you're trying to shape a shot (draw or fade). It also occurs more often than you might think. That being said that was probably the worst I think I've ever seen.
Tiger shot a 72 today and stands at E after 36 holes. I think he's too far back to be a contender over the weekend.
He missed a lot of birdie putts today. Enough that had he made them he would be in or near the lead. Pros that putt for par and dogs that chase cars are two things that don't last long
