Hastert became speaker of the House after Gingrich was run out and served until Nancy Pelosi took over in 2007, a total of 8 years. He has admitted molesting boys during his time as a high school wrestling coach and even paid one of them off to keep quiet about it. Disgusting stuff by anyone's standards. Worse, guys like Tom DeLay are writing letters to the judge in the case attesting to Hastert's character, which you can read in this link. This is the same Dennis Hastert who was part of the culture wars against the gay community and a son of the religious right, and the model of hypocrisy. If this were any one of us, do you think they would be asking for letters of reference from our friends about our character? Hell no, we would have been jailed a long time ago and who gives two shits what our friends have to say about our character. His friends are trying to use the excuse that he is old and in bad health.....but so was Jerry Sandusky. He needs to spend the rest of his days imprisoned. What say you?
Hurt a child and I'd be hard pressed to come up with a limit as to the punishment. I have zero sympathy for them.

That club doesn't exist just in Washington. Rome is top notch too as are schools, both public and private.
