Well, I admit I care because it's free publicity for both teams, but particularly the campus they visit. It doesn't take anything away from the game, but recruits watch this stuff on Saturday mornings too and it certainly doesn't hurt to have them show up at your school.

LSU destorying a team does more for recruiting than Gameday being there. Just ask Miami. But you're right, it won't "hurt". I just don't think it won't really do much for recruiting. That's like saying if Gameday goes to Arizona that suddenly they're going to get recruits. I don't think so.

Just as I thought, it's nothing more than a business decision. And I really can't blame them.

ABC is the first tv network to show college games every Saturday night. They are going to do everything they can to make it work. That means using College Gameday and ESPN to promote the game.

I hope they succeed. If the ratings are high enough, it may convince CBS to do the same with SEC games in the future.

truer words have never been spoken. we need to take care of our own business and espn, cbs, et al will show up in droves....when we pay billions for a tv contract then we can decide what they do, until then quit moaning like you're having the monthly cramps!
