Why would Orgeron leave Louisiana and the opportunity to drive home every day and sleep in his own bed to do the same job he's doing now for the same money? I have no doubt that O leaves, but it's going to be for a DC or HC job, not DLine on the west coast. This is just wishful thinking. I wouldn't mind seeing Larry Porter back. He's currently the RB coach at UNC. FWIW, the highest rank recruiter on LSU's staff this year is Peveto. The recruiting coordinator is certainly more than just bringing in the talent, but this staff is loaded with good recruiters. They just need a guy with NOLA connections and organize the recruiting. I'm sure it's well in hand. Or this could just be the first rat to jump ship...
I'll say it again...I don't think he would or will. But for some Trojan fans this possibility just won't die. It's beyond annoying. They weren't. To O's credit he was probably one of the only coaches who actually did go back to his room alone rather than stay in the coaching offices.....where there are couches....and lots of stains. Overrated. Co-eds and Master's Degree candidates are more the likely item. Even PC says so.
His family is still in Mandeville and his family love where they are. Even when he was in so-cal his family was living in Mandeville. I personally don't see O going to USuCk. Not after they slighted him like that. He will leave but only for a HC job.
