This. Having no 1st downs in the first half was kinda hard to stomach, but man it's awesome to finally have a team that can turn on the jets.
My guess? 1. LSU has been there--been in the big games this year, controlled the emotion and the tension, then let it surge after the "spark" provided by TM7; 2. GA ran on adrenalin in the 1H--they rode it, played effectively, but did not have the stamina and conditioning to manage it for 4 QTRS. After an adrenalin surge, you basically crash. 3. "Rope-A-Dope" strikes again!
Does anyone know who said what at half time? The offense came out completely fired up the second half.
LOL he did not make any either !!!! FIELD POSITIOJ TO A REAL QB means nothing . He gets the 1st downs he neds then he delivers the strike ! Anytime JJ touches the ball you better worry !! Now about your hero, Saban , he will answer a few question that you have about JJ . In the 1st JJ was confused . The O line got better after a few passes down field , you don't have to complete all of them just toss a few out there for the running game to work . You did see the pass into the ground right ?? Even that helped !!! One good thing about JJ playing , this next game win or lose is his last !!! Thank you Les
Never even for a second. I was frustrated by the three and outs, but I knew all along we would win, and we would win big. I saw UGA's d linemen huffing and puffing with their hands on their hips midway through the second quarter. From that point it was on.
I thought Georgia had a chance in the first quarter but way too many missed opportunities. It should have been 21-0 going into the half (sorry guys but anyone who saw the tape knows that the Honey badger did not cross the line with the ball and the SEC reviewer agreed after he saw that view). GA defense was just unreal. Special teams sucked as always and once the field position game was lost it was all over. Congrats to the Tigers, they are the SEC Champs.
Agreed. Points were being given up on plays they could not control and it kinda knocked the wind out of them. They were awesome but once the offense starting going three and out there wasn't enough depth to keep the pace.
On the Honey Badger TD, did that really matter? do you honestly think we would not have punched it in from the 1 inch line? You guys came out sky high and played well for about 22 mins. Hats off to a good gameplan from your coaches and some hard fought battles in the trenches. But in all honesty I knew you guys had shot your wad early, and it was just a matter of time before the stomping commenced. Good luck in the Outback bowl, go tear apart Mich St.
He didnt cross the line, but he still burned your punt coverage and just would have done it again. Besides, that would have been considered an illeagal forward pass and not a touchback, LSU would have punched it in regardless. I'll give the second dropped TD pass, but wont give you the first one. You have to catch those, its what seperates good from great. Your defense played great football for 30 minutes and hats off to them. But football is 4 quarters, and If MR can find those kids some help in depth you guys will be tremendous next season. I agree on the field position battle, it truly is the key to beating LSU. Making them drive the length, cause it rarely happens with our poor QB play.
Yeah, but anyone who saw the actual play could see that there wasn't a UGA player within 10 yards of the dude with the ball. No way UGA should be rewarded for that. It was a complete failure to defend by their punt return teams. Thanks for the treat, stupid!!!
