Pffft. Did you not see #27 TRUCK over you entire defense twice on his way into the end zone? There's your answer. That's not even counting the time he planted Boykin into the turf. . .
The same reason they punched it in on their first possession of the 3rd quarter. Because at some point, that UGA defense was going to break, it was just a matter of time. I'll agree it was a momentum shift, but LSU's defense was already sucking the life out of your offense and it was just a matter of time before our running game imposed their will. I have watched 13 LSU games this season, same results every game.
you can say what you want but in that first half Georgia's defense was not gonna be scored on. BTW for those saying it was a forward pass listen. First of all if he was running into the endzone and tosses the ball SIDEWAYS while he is still running the ball will not travel as fast as him and he will be in front of it, therefore it being a fumble or lateral. Secondly, he was past the line of scrimmage and therefore cannot pass so it cannot be ruled as a forward pass. All in all, UGA ball on the twenty.
You're right about Mathieu tossing the ball a split second before crossing the goal line, but No one was around him AND the referee was signaling a touchdown and blowing the whistle...the play stops when the whistle blows inadvertently or not. I talked to a high school referee customer of mine about this and he said...once the above happens...it's a TD. I asked him if the refs really blow the play dead on TDs with the whistle and he said Yes....every time. It was a legitimate score, once the referee called the TD...according to him. By the way, I was in "shock and awe" at Georgia's defense in the first half. I love defensive football and I really admired their effort....I don't think I've ever seen a half of football like that. Hats off to those Georgia guys...:thumb:
We'll give you that one, the overthrow and the drop. That, combined with the 10 you did score, gives you 31. Still not enough. Quit whining and accept your whuppin.
I'm sure most have seen this by now. And I was watching the game with my brother. He was asking why I wasn't worried. I told him that about the middle of the 2nd quarter, Georgia's adrenaline will wear off and we'll take over. A few minutes later, HB scores.
Georgia threw the entire arsenal at LSU. What did LSU do? Kept their composure, acted like champions, capitalized on opportunities, and began to put their foot on the throats of the bulldogs.
Well I don't know about the entire arsenal. I mean its hard to give LSU everything you have when your top three running backs are injured. If we had had some sort of running game it might have been different. i mean look what happened when we put the 5th string freshman Ken Malcolm in there, average of over 7 yards a run.
Guess you saw our 4th. string RB, that would be Hilliard. If you don't remember him, I think your defense does...........:tigereye:
