Oh ye of little faith... Like I said, I started keeping track of it so I'll be happy to report in a couple weeks what I actually get.
Looks like I miscalculated. I thought I put the $26 down & won $66, but didn't get the $26 back. Turns out I do get it back so that means sportsbook has a higher payout than 80%. I think it should be 90% if I did that right in my head.
I have this neighbor who always tells me how much he wins betting games. Funny thing is, we talk all the time... and he never tells me who he's betting on before the games are played, just how much he won afterwards. You'd think he'd have a nicer car.
No offense bud, but most everyone who's ever bet on a football game has thought of and tried this strategy. Like everything else that involves gambling, sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. I wish you luck all the same though.
I don't plan to bet more than $50 on a weekend, so I'm not too worried if I can't do as well as I want.
FSU at +3.5 or The U at -3.5 i'm leaning with the U... They have to make up for their last game vs LSU.. kinda like we did after UGA raped us... Miami in a close one (all these UM-FSU games are close) but i'm not sure if -3.5 is safe... thoughts?
I picked Miami, but am not confident enough to put money on it. Miami has the revenge factor (not against Fl St but just in general after the peach bowl), but they have some new coordinators & I have not read up on their Spring much to see how that transition has gone. From what I remember, Florida St seemed to lose more to the draft this year. Overall, I think Miami is just a more coached/developed team, while Florida St seems to of late have the better pure athletes.
I put down a $7.00 five game parlay for this weekend that pays out $180 if all five cover. LSU by 15 over Arizona. Ohio St over Texas (-2.5) UGA by 3 over S. Carolina Clemson by 3 over BC and Auburn by 20 over Miss St. I might go back & lay $20 on a specific game or two.
Looks good to me. While any one of them could go wrong with bad luck, I'd say the Texas v. Ohio state game is the most dangerous
I agree and I think the Horns will cover which means you are probably safe taking the Buckeyes and the points.
