Danielson called games for ABC in all of 2005. His reference to being called out for his comments about Nebraska applied to the 2001 season. So maybe there wasn’t much love lost, but I haven’t heard anything about ABC firing him. Todd Blackledge left CBS for ESPN, so CBS needed a replacement. If Danielson had been fired, I doubt CBS would have tracked him down. If you know of an article that says Danielson was fired, I’d like to read it.
Regardless of "who shot John" here, Danielson is under contract with CBS, who has the contract for SEC games. He's doing his job, just like every other "non-biased" announcer is doing for their employer.
I always respected Gary after the 04 NCG vs OU. He was constantly praising LSU in that game, i enjoyed it very much haha. One quote comes to mind from that game, he was talkin about how great LSU's coverage was, "Hey Oklahoma fans, YOU tell Jason where to throw the ball." :lol: :lol:
