"Coach Mark Richt ranks Clemson's "Death Valley" stadium louder than Tiger Stadium, where he coached as an assistant against LSU in 1991 in a 27-16 Seminoles' victory. Georgia does play at Clemson at 11 a.m. Saturday on ABC. "Clemson's stadium is as loud as anywhere I've been when they're cranked up," Richt said. "We know it's going to be loud and extremely hot. Hopefully we've done enough work on our no-huddle and our non-verbal communication to get the job done. It's not going to be easy." " This is from Glenn Guilbeau's article "Rating the SEC" http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/082803/spo_sec001.shtml
here's a comment from SouthLink on War Eagle Nation. "Having been to both, it's not even close....LSU is MUCH louder" Everybody over there knows LSU is louder, its just Richt being a dumbass. He needs to go back to the ACC.
That '91 game was played in a monsoon, and despite the fact that the #1 team was in town, the stadium was not packed. Apples & oranges.
*looks* hmm... looks like it... *sniffs* hmm... smells like it... *licks* hmm... tastes like it... Yep it is!! Somebody get the posterboard and pin this up. :geaux:
No one should pass judgment on LSU or Tiger Stadium based on something that happened during the Hallman years.
Why is everyone getting so upset at a freakin sentence like this? He didnt "diss" LSU, mock them..or anything. He simply said it was louder..its his opinion. Trust me, many others agree. As seen, I dont one bit but many USC fans from last year and Bama fans dont think DV is the loudest stadium in the SEC. They just dont. If you really are that short on material to mock someone, I guess be my guest. The go back to the ACC comment...why? He did just fine last year.If anybody knows anything about Bowden, its that he is ALWAYS complimenting the other team before games. This is Richt being nice when asked about the difference.
