I'm over in Houston right now, and I've found out that the gas here all contains 10% ethanol. The politicians apparently felt that this would help with pollution. The problem is that ethanol lowers the gas mileage rate vehicles get, so you have to fill up more often - effectively negating any positive effect of requiring 10% ethanol in the gas... All this has done is give money to big businesses for providing nothing of value to consumers, while taking taking away money from the consumers.

Why do politicians always think that they can fix things through legistlation!? :angryfire

Just wait until every car is 85% ethanol.

I especially appreciate how our chittier gas costs more and I have to use more of it. Brilliant minds at work in the legislative branch. I hope I can buy Congress one of these days.
