Not to mention hedgers, speculators, quality of crude on the market, true or false reports of Iran cutting off oil supply to several Euorpean nations, Israel's response to Iran's new nuclear capability. I would say Obama is about 1 thousand on the list of factors jacking up oil prices this year.

Even if raising federal taxes on gas was his desire, he would not do it in an election year.

Exactly, you get to be as ignorant as you want and nobody can tell you what to do.

You are completely wrong. The government has no controls over price stability nor the value of its currency. Which happens to be strong as the Euro declines.

Make your case, if you can.

No. Who exactly has said this? You keep saying this, but no one here has said it. What politician has said it? Or did you hear it from Rush?

Still waiting for examples of what you speak . . .

What anti-oil stance? Obama opened the Atlantic to offshore drilling before BP screwed up everything for the oil industry and popular outcry led to its postponement.

The moratorium was a result to the BP oil spill disaster, did you forget that? It impacted 1% of the 3600 oil platforms in the Gulf. The government has been issuing permits for over a year now.

How exactly does high oil prices promote green energy? This makes no sense at all.

How is being opposed to high gas prices being a hypocrite? Who exactly has he blamed it on? You just make stuff up.

He a politician. He can't order world oil prices to go up or down. This is nonsense.

Yeah, so you support giving ExxonMobil, the most profitable corporation in history, with 383 $Billion in revenues another $4 Billion a year in tax subsidies paid for by you and I.

That is corporate welfare at its worst. The Republican party kisses the fat asses of Big Oil while esteeming from the middle class.

Maybe not but it's irrelevant, really. One person takes an inordinate share of the blame anytime gas prices are high- the president of the United States. Obama knows this, that's why he opened the strategic reserves last year.

The day President Obama was inaugurated, the average price of a gallon of gasoline was $1.84. Today that average is $3.52, a spike of just over 90 percent. That's all the information most people need (correct or not).

Inflation. Because of the Obama administrations spending and borrowing, the dollar is worth less than under Bush. Oil went to over a $130 a barrel in 2008 but gas prices only hit $2 a gallon. Now oil is $101 a barrel but gas is at $3.50+ a gal.. The borrow, spend and print money policies of the current administration has greatly devalued the US dollar. But if Obama can't be blamed for current gas prices then they should lay off W for the housing bubble burst. Has anybody checked out the Obama Truth teams?

We already have the alternative to gasoline-natural gas. Louisiana has nearly ten pumping stations built already with more to come. Many fleet vehicles are already using this alternative fuel. The U.S. has vast reserves in shale deposits that are just now being tapped. It has the added benefit of defunding the psychos in the Middle East. Natural gas is about 50% cheaper as a fuel than gasoline and greener. There are drawbacks for vehicle consumers (bulky tank, low mileage range) but it is an alternative available today.

A basic logical fallacy. Correlation does NOT constitute causation.
