Being from a city that is about as far south as you can go on the west coast of Florida, I resent that.

True dat...unless you consider those Charlie Pell/Gaylen Hall days when they were on probation about every other week.

 

Louisiana is it's own South. We've got a bit of the Texas culture, mostly Cajun culture combined with Southern ideals.

Mississippi & Alabama are the only 2 truely southern states, IMO. They define "the south", where as every other state combines the south with their own thing.

 

I think you should also include Georgia and South Carolina with Mississippi and Alabama.:thumb:

 

I agree with CParso, Louisiana is a one of a kind state. I mean, you can tell what parish some people are from just by hearing them speak. Louisiana is the gem of the south if you ask me.
