exactly what I was thinking. After last season, they said that that instance was the only time that penalty was called all season in the NCAA. And now that rule no longer exists. I would be almost positive defensive holding has never been called before on a ****ing field goal attempt. unbelievable.
And at the end of the half, ATL blocked a Saints Field goal & ran it in for a TD & the ATL player used leverage to block it & the refs didn't call it. But yet they will call a defensive holding call on a FG try. The NFL just lost me permanently as a fan.
^really? You will never be a fan of the NFL ever again? I find that hard to believe. Yeah that was a terrible call though, I am a Falcons fan and I was pissed off just to see it happen.
