Update...... Have talked to Geauxscott about 10 times since about 2:00 this afternoon. To say the least he's hammered. The sign they decided on was "Corso Sent Me a Dirty Email".....Foley reference. Said the Fla. fans thought it was hilarious. HBO showed up at 6:00 as planned. Filmed them for a while. Did a Q&A. According to GS, he was asked what he thought of ESPN/Gameday. Said he told them it was a great show for a while b/c it was always at the biggest game of the weekend. But that as of late it's all about money and the media darlings so it's started to suck. Made some reference to there love for USC and Ohio St. GS asked if they were really going to be on the Real Sports show. The guy told them that they were the focal point of it. That it would be a 12 minute segment that would air on October 31. Tomorrow morning at 5:30am the guy from HBO is going to call GS to give him a heads up that they are on the way. They are going to come to the RV (apprarently the HBO guys are staying at the Hilton across the street from the RV lot) and wire GS. Then they are going to film GS and his crew getting ready for Gameday and heading off to Gameday. GS and his crew are going to paint themselves purple and spell TIGERS. Goofy bastard. More to come, hopefully, they were headed out in G'ville.
After a day of drinking, 5:30 is gonna be awfully early! Are they going to film the hang-over? :lol: Geaux, GeauxScott!
dude all I have to say is the people who run BR could learn a thing or 2 from g-ville. we just got back to our hotel in lake city and gainsville is set up great around the campus and overall is just beautiful.
last call of the night........ hammered, well beyond hammered. was going to bed to be ready for HBO at 5:30.....says he'll be. making the wakeup call at 4:30.
Interesting chain of events this morning....... For starters GS is very coherent this morning considering the state he was in last night. Young guys got some resiliency i guess. HBO showed up as planned at 5:45 am. GS and crew got up and HBO filmed. Plan was to all paint themselves purple and use gold letters for Tigers. Problem came up that some of the paint didn't work. So 3 of the crew did LSU. HBO filmed them getting ready and leaving for Gameday. Followed them to Gameday and filmed them getting out of the car, etc. Here's where it gets kinda interesting.... Asi mentioned earlier the sign GS decided on was "Corso Sent Me a Dirty Email". The sign is made on a bed sheet connected to 12 ft' poles....so you can imagine how big it is. Plan was to wait until Gameday started and then raise the sign. About 1/2 hour ago they decided to go ahead and raise to see how it was going to look. They had it up for about 20 min. While holding it up an ESPN crew member and a cop come up to them and tell them to take it down. Saying it is too derogatory. ESPN producer saw it from across the way and wanted it down. ESPN guy told them that don't like anything biased, etc.showing. As can be imagined GS and crew have already started poppin tops. ESPN guy & cop asked them what was in the cup. GS responded "Apple Juice". ESPN guy said give me a drink. GS, "No, you might have germs". Cop, "Tell you what,take the sign down and we won't arrest you for public drinking". Wasn't a rude or hostile encounter. ESPN guy and cop acknowledged it was a funny sign though. They did have the sign up long enough for HBO to get it filmed.
