I remember him when he was just old. Used to love the "mad bomber," Ben Davidson, Warren Wells and co. Couldn't believe he was 83.

I remember watching Blanda in the '60s when he was with the Houston Oilers and when he finished his career with the Raiders. Hell of a QB and kicker.

    RIP George

I remember 1970, when he came in for Lamonica(who was hurt) and won like 5 games in a row at the end of the game with his arm or his foot. You just knew ol' George would find a way to win it. I think one of the field goals was over 50 yards.

Those West Coast games, with the Raiders, Rams, and Niners were great.

Blanda/Lamonica /Stabler, John Brodie, and Roman Gabriel.

    All studs.

    RIP George Blanda.
