1. Could also be a possibility that Campo wasn't interested in returning to the college ranks, and would rather hold out for a possible position in either SF or to remain in Cleveland???
  2. Washington was actually 25th in the NFL in total defense in 2003.

This year they returned to their 2002 form and ranked 3rd in the NFL. And this was without the services of Champ Bailey (traded away this year for Clinton Portis).

If that isn't enough to send a signal to you people that this guy's numbers are horrible, then I don't know what to say.

Don't accept mediocrity. It should be beneath LSU at this point.

Seems like there are some just happy to hear any old name bandied about regarding coordinators.

  3. nah, i think most are happier to hear a name, Mud, over Clay.
  4. I agree it could get no worse than Clay.
  5. "His primary responsibilities were to maximize the talents of a strong linebacking corps including Arrington, Jesse Armstead, Jeremiah Trotter and Kevin Mitchell. Working with Edwards, Arrington (107), Armstead (107) and Trotter (104) each broke the 100+ mark in tackles in 2002."

From his profile. It's only part of the big story, but sounds good.
  6. ahhemm....cough, cough, cough, Lou Tepper, cough, cough...ahhhhhhemmmm:D
  7. Spurrier's offense blew in the NFL, but is dominant in college. Don't try and relate lack of success in the NFL to college it is pointless. Give the guy a chance.
