From what I hear the guy did nothing to do with the law or drugs or anything along those lines......I am thinking it was just a missed meeting or coming in late for practice. 3 games is a good amount for something along these lines
UGA wants a piece of LSU It would have taken something like, murder or rape, to keep him out of the UGA-LSU game. LSU is GA's 4th opponent. :geaux:
I dunno man, it took three counts of contributing to the delinqunecy of a minor for Marcus Vick to get a three game suspention. He really ticked someone off. But, lucky coincidence for you guys that he gets reinstated right before the first of your tough games huh?:wink:
For a missed meeting and such....I don't see why you would suspend someone for any longer then 3 games. Seems logical to me. Zook would have just told the guy not to do it again....
A three game suspension for missing a meeting is pretty tough. Was he making a habit of missing team meeting or showing up late? It does look to me like UGA will be able to survive his suspension.
Odell's past is weird....the guy was kicked off the team entirly in 2001 and went to Hargrove Academy (I think is the name) and got himself back into Richt's good graces....last year he was arrested for open container and so forth....come to find out....he was driving his Uncles car which had beer in the back that was open....they gave him a DUI test and he came out clean, meaning he hadn't been drinking at all but was picking up family downtown.....Richt suspended him but didn't come down too hard since he really was only given a ticket for loud music..... He was on a short leash....and I think he did something minor that Richt wanted to just send a message to him that if he ever does it again he is gone, as he was the first time.
Now the three game suspension doesn't look so tough. Looks like the kid has a habit of walking real close to the line.
