Great point about how most fans look at the different conferences as being equal. The computers absolutely loved Virginia Tech at the end of the year, when the fact is, (I live right here in the heart of the ACC), that half of the ACC football teams would be better off playing in the Ivy League. Ridiculous.

Don't tell me UGA is still talking about this?

They need to be talking about Hawaii and stopping Colt Brennan.

Who on here things Hawaii will pull off the upset???

Please. If Va. Tech beats the Sooners and LSU beats the Buckeyes 2 - 0, you think anybody but residents of Blacksburg will be touting the Hokies after 48 - 7? Nonsense.

The ACC stinks, almost unbelievably bad. The Hokies have exactly one decent win, over Clemson. Their non-conference schedule was the following: East Carolina, Ohio U. and Bill & Mary. Miami, Duke & the Tarheels are barely better than Harvard. The win in the final game over BC merely serves to illustrate how badly Va. Tech choked at home against the Eagles. And the continuing joke in the BCS is that the ACC champ gets an automatic bowl every year.

Virginia Tech is clearly a pollster and computer hoax.

They can...but won't. I will still root for UGA. But with regards to UGA, everyone's willing to say how hot they are now but that's all relative to how average they were early in the season. They failed to score a touchdown against South Carolina, who by the way gave up 300+ rushings yards to one player...
But then again, if we didn't make it, I would rather have UGA in their rather than anyone else. I like Richt, he gave us major props during our 2003 run. People forget he went 13-1 in 2002, but unfortunately for him, there were already 2 undefeated teams. We got 13-1 the next year and we are in and win it all.

For what it's worth, after the Tenn. disaster, no coach anywhere did a better job of having his team ready to play, and play great, than Richt.
    Really outstanding job.

That's true, but UGh-A fans think that the season started the week after the Tenn game.

No joke. What I wouldn't have given for our season to begin after the UF game last year. But it didn't.
