dude, Vince Lombardi could have risen from the dead to be our coach, and Peyton was still gone. none of the manning clan was remotely interested in staying in Louisiana. I laugh my ass off everytime I think about us winning an SEC (and eventual National) title at Eli's expense in '03. Sorry Eli, you hitched your wagon to the wrong horse.
Dude, how many people do you know who went to colleges outside of Louisiana? Do you hold a grudge against them? Curley Hallman was the LSu coach when Peyton was being recruited and when Eli was being recruited Jerry Dinardo had just been fired and Saban had just been hired. At that time Saban did not have the reputation he has now as a great coach. I don't know why Eli chose Ole Miss. He could have just as easily gone to Florida, Tennessee, USC, Texas or Oklahoma who all had better programs than LSU at the time. In the aftermath of Katrina Peyton and Eli chartered a plane to fly in much needed supplies to New Orleans Hurricane victims. Would you be happy if both of them had chosen to stay in state by playing football at Tulane? Or at ULL? Should I hold a grudge against somebody who chose to go to law school at Harvard rather than attend LSU law school? Its been 16 years since Peyton was being recruited from high school. 11 years for Eli. How long can you keep your hatred for rhe Mannings going?
...You'd be surprised. Especially since I have to see repeat Banplus commercials with that half tard trying to form a complete sentence
big difference between Jo Schmoe I graduated with going to Mississippi Community college vs. the Mannings selling sh!tloads of tickets ($$$) getting their teams on tv (more $$$$) and getting people to go out and buy their school colors (still more $$$) who was coaching who doesn't matter in the least bit. Papa Manning wasn't gonna allow his sons to attend his arch rival. wasn't gonna happen. and? Sean Penn came to New Orleans, hopped in a boat and helped the rescue efforts. And to my knowledge, he ain't from here. Don't mean I have to like the guy. happy? no but I might believe them when they spewed that "I love Louisiana" line if they had. if that's what floats your boat. I personally don't care about lawyers or what school they attended. zero emotional attachment to law shools or firms. 50 bucks says I can hate them well into 80's or 90's, and with a lil luck, maybe even into triple digits. Same with anyone else that has played any remotely significant role for any SEC school not called LSU.** **disclaimer: this hatred does not prevent me from using these azzholes for fantasy football**
