Just to make things interesting.... 21-14 Tigers... hope I'm wrong, but I think it's entirely possible for LSU to go into this game with a "big head" while USL is definitely pumped for the game. Add in the fact that LSU is usually slow-starting offensively and we have some crazy **** on our hands. USL will be "good," okay, decent...we know that, but I'm worried about LSU "clicking." LSU should win the game easily, but don't discount ULL. Whether or not their passing game is able to complement their run is going to be key. Then again... Maybe I'm not giving LSU enough credit for the first game... 38-3
I'm happy to see such confidence, and while I normally hate predicting scores, the last time I predicted an opening day score was 2003, I predicted correctly against ULM--and we won the national championship. So, I like 51-0 (especially since USL hasn't scored on us since the 1920's). Also, I think the score is that high because Miles will want to give MF and RP some good work--and we need to prepare for the Arizona and Auburn games.
Miles is going to use this game to get the timing down for our starters, look at who will be the back-up at qb, get some guys time on D and is not going to worry about the score, because except for a few idiots in ULLaugh land, no one will remember the score of this one at the end of the year except that it was a w.
