1. Spread out. Use quick crossing routes to get the LBs running and worn out. Run from the spread instead of fighting 10 in the box.

  2. Yes loco, you ain't so loco. I think that's what Cameron will do. Spread Beckham to the left and Landry to the right. Throw to the one that's single covered. If they're both double covered that's 9 against 7 in our favor around the ball. Then run against the mf'ers. Up tempo offense to keep them from disguising coverages and sending in complicated blitz packages and also making their fat asses run.

I've always thought Alabama's defense was vulnerable. LSU and A&M proved it last year and A&M proved it this year. They are recruited and designed to stop the run. Don't play their game. Spread 'em out. They also don't like up tempo. Saban came out and told us that earlier this year.

All that said, I don't think what we do on offense matters. I don't think our defense is good enough to win this game. We couldn't stop Ole Miss when it mattered and our defense couldn't get Furman off the field in the first half for goodness sake.
  3. I think the key is to have a schizophrenic offense for this game. Go run heavy just to the point that they DO stack the box, then stretch the field vertically on a dime and go deep.

  4. Eithe way to me , score each time we get the ball, this could be the last LSU plays a Saban coached SEC team ,
  5. I think Mett calls Manziel and gets some "scrambling" lessons this week!:)
  6. We need to run the offense that we ran early in the season. We still ran the ball effectively, but not from obvious running formations. We ran from passing formations and managed to get great yardage. Starting with FL, we went back to what we did last year, and it sucks out loud. There is a time and place for that, late in the game when we are trying to salt a victory away, or against and inferior opponent, etc. However, we are not going to line up against Bama and consistently cram it down their throat. We need to keep the D off balance and use the weapons we have. We need to involve the TE's, RB's, and even the FB's in the passing game, and get creative. Early in the season we were flexing the freaking FB out into a wide receiver position. Where the hell has that kind of creativity been since?

When Mett feels like he isn't getting any shots, he starts to force the ball into coverage that is dangerous. When we are passing regularly and effectively, he is more careful and will check down as needed.

  7. What about that mid level drag route tha Landry was running against UGA and was killing them. A LB had to cover him. Announcers drew it up 3-4 times on the monitor and said UGA had no answer for it. I don't think I have seen that route for the last 6 games.

  8. The question should be, "What will Les Do?" and what he will do is line up in the I-slot and run into a brick wall over and over then chuck a few long incompletions. Oh, and some quick throws to the slot on the bubble.
  9. Wash you mouth out with soap and don't ever even think anything like this ever again! Miles will be throwing short passes to open up the long passes with an occasional run for long yardage.
  10. IMO our best defense is our run game. Lets run the football control the clock and force Alabama to play catchup. We cant allow our offense to become one dimensional. I think the intermediate passing game will work on Alabama's soft coverage but once we get into the red zone thats where you will have't to work on running the football being aggressive and working off play action much like Stanford did to Oregon last night...
