Davis has said he's very concerned about handling a double team. Tasmin Mitchell is expected to pick a ton of slack.
Wrong! If anything brady's recruiting is consistant. The past few years he's grabbed the top rated talent in louisiana. It just so happen the top rated guys are forwards. If he had gotten Jay Jackson and Terry Martin (both at Texas Tech) and they did do good people would say brady can only get players from louisiana. Cut brady some slack, at least for one more year
If he had gotten Jay Jackson and Terry Martin (both at Texas Tech) and they did do good people would say brady can only get players from louisiana. what?
This is a rediculous statement, this is one reason why I said what I did about Brady's recruiting. Jay Jackson and Terry Martin can't be too bad either if they are at TT. If Brady only recruited players from Louisiana and they did good no one would give a sh!t where the players were from. You've just contradicted yourself, We should've at least tried to get these 2 players compared to some that weren't ready to play last year because they weren't ready for SEC play, another reason the bench was thin. One of these is from Louisiana btw, you should take the better player from the same state. Did anyone here care where the players were from in Nick Saban's era of football or the year we won our :crystal: ?
O.k. typo not contradiction, if terry martin and jay jackson had been recruited by brady and sucked people would say brady sucks and he can only get players from louisiana. I think brady is a better recruiter than a coach. The last few lsu frosh classes have been pretty good and the last few pg's from louisiana have not been rated very high(jay jackson in 03 was not ranked in the top 100). If brady had gotten jackson, people would say who the hell is this guy and wait for the first game so he could scew up and say bradys not consistant with his recruiting(kinda what eveyone is doing saying about ben voogd). I just think brady and his staff do a pretty good job recruiting!
Well, I was referring about other players such as Martin Zeno and a few others that I don't remember their names. The bottomline is I also think Brady is a better recruiter than a coach but I don't understand why this team NEVER has any depth, everyone leaves. I also don't understand if we can land players like Bass, Big Baby, etc, it just seems that we should be able to recruit a few players that are SEC calibur or starters versus players that were given scholarships that didn't play at all last year. Why didn't they play, because they weren't ready? Is Jay Jackson or Terry Martin better than Xavier Whipple?
No coach is going to completely dominate the state. Even ole St. Nick lost a few to teams out of state... Brady has done very well getting players to come to LSU from Louisiana. His only problem is keeping them here...
