Yeah but if you follow this guy, he has an anti-LSU bias. I simply iginore him. When I did read his columns his logic made little sense most of the time. I e-mailed him a few times and he responded very viciously to what I thought was constructive criticism. I don't think that the Gannet News Service gives out his e-mail address anymore.

I was at an airport and was thanked by a guy from Ok. for taking LM off thier hands. He also welcomed me back to being mediocore. That's what winning more than losing gets you. Slightly above .500.

LM was not LSU's first choice so lets not crown him king too fast. Also although not in the news around here I was told that 6 of OSU starters were not even on the team this year either because of grades or legal problems. These would be LM recruits.

Hang on and let's see where this ride goes. I am supporting this team 100%. But LM is not getting a free ride and all Ican say is I hope my fears are unfounded.

Yeah, we have to wait and see but I do recall all those Michigan St. fans thanking us for taking Nick Satan.........ect ect ect......
Les Miles is a good coach, the guy at the airport sounds like he might still be
a little upset that the coach who took OSU to it's first bowl games in quite a while left for a much better place.

It's actually a friend of mine that I travel with. We just met at the airport and I thought I would set the stage.

Nick Saban was not LSU's first choice either..and if you want to see mediocrity take a good long look at OSU's recruitng so far. There's 1 (4 Star) commit..Michael Goodson & 11 others that have no star rating. Miles has commits from 1 (5 Star) & 8 (4 star) players. I wonder if Mr. Airport would want to trade? :hihi:

Like I said I want to be on the wrong side on this one. Miles has not won an SEC game yet. I don't want to lynch him but I can't praise him until he wins a game and sets the tone for this program.

By the way. Ask Texas what a committment is prior to National signing day. We drop 3 or 4 games and see what these commits do.

Why didn't you tell Skip about this??? You mean someone at the airport thanked you for taking LM and you didn't even mention this to Skip? This could have changed everything...

You know Nick Saban wasn't our first choice back when we hired him? He got the job thanks to his agent throwing his name in there.

Mac Brown: "Look fellow, we, at Texas, win the recruiting national championship on a regular basis. We pride ourselves on potential here, got it ? Why let actual performance detract from what our recruits haven't done yet ? You see, its all very logical. We really didn't want Perry-Lou because although he met our criteria for potential, he actually had a good chance for future success which means we really didn't want him. Let him go play for some team that actually has a chance to win a National Championship. We, here at Texas, could care less (Les ?)."
