There are many reasons. I ended up going but didn't buy my tickets till late Friday. Why did I hesitate? Well I spent all week in Houston and didn't really want to drive another 150 miles or so. I had plans for Saturday that I had to change. The people I usually go to games with were out of town (in Chicago) so my usual game day schedule was messed up.
Remember this was scheduled for 11:00 am away so people made plans that couldn't be changed. Rather than bitch about those who didn't go; cheer those who did.

    People didn't go because

    1. People make plans, it's also hunting season. Lots of people go hunting and watch the game at the camp, people also plan weddings around away games.

    2. It was a day game and it was hot outside. Not scalding but still uncomfortable. LSU fans just generally don't like day games. Had it been night 20k more people would have been there easily.

    3. It was South Carolina on a down year. If South Carolina were undefeated more people would have shown up.

It's great to live in a country were we get to decide for ourselves what we want to do.

If it had been Alabama the stadium would have been full. Deer and squirrels would have gone unshot. Fish would have gone uncaught. Weddings would have been postponed or canceled. "Boo Hoo Hoo! You love football more than you love me. My mother was right about you."

Unfortunately, no, but that's probably a good thing because they've only allowed me chicken broth, apple juice, and jello today before my endoscopy in the morning.

The ultrasound found a gall bladder polyp, so it might be curtains for my gall bladder, which is fine with me since it decided to get all bitchy here recently.

I had my gall bladder out about a year ago. Surgery was a piece of cake, but I still haven't forgiven my surgeon for putting a damn staple in my belly button.:(

Had mine removed years ago. Pretty much a non event. About a month after surgery I was lying on the floor playing with the dog. My four year old took a running start, lept, and landed directly with her elbow on incision. Rip.

Six months after that repair, I was a gym...Rip...now a big herniated bulge that can't be fixed.

Be careful, good luck but you won't need it!

Ewwww....they'd better stitch that incision! If that's what this will be.

My friends kids are in a scout troop that scheduled a campout on this weekend months ago so that it would not conflict with LSU football. They have priorities and they made the right choices just as you did. All of us with season tickets overload the other weekends because its the only time we have to do a lot of other things.
