Is it really? Saban's overall and SEC record: 2000 - 8-4, 5-3 2001 - 10-3, 5-3 2002 - 8-5, 5-3 2003 - 13-1, 7-1 2004 - 9-3, 6-2 I guess we remember only what we want to remember...
OMG!!:dis: :dis: I saw this thread yesterday but refused to read any of it. I knew I shouldn't open today...but couldn't stay away(must be an addiction) I kinda expect these assclowns to show up and slam the coach and the team after a loss...hell maybe even a close win...but to complain after blowing out an SEC team?!?!? What the hell is wrong with you people, would you have preferred a loss??? I don't get it. The left coast tiger says oohh we blew out UK like we were supposed to.... But last week some of you bashers were "nervous" or 'scared' of UK because 'they played UF close" and "hung with SC". When we smoke the team you were f'n nervous about, I would expect you to be happy and not bitch for a couple of day at least!:cuss: :cuss:
So, . . . you were predicting an undefeated season for LSU, I presume. I predicted 10-2, so my standards are lower? I'm defeatist, with a loser mentality? Funny, I think I was being more pragmatic and my realistic prediction can still happen, while your idealistic one is shot to hell already. I'm enjoying this season and you've become a gloom-and-doomer. Why? Take a guess . . .
Exactly, Red. These clowns set themselves up to be disappointed and pissed off. Look at the schedule and the level of competition at the upper level of our conference and you would have to be a damned fool to demand a 1 loss or undefeated season. We knew the OL was inexperienced and we knew the RBs (post injury) were question marks. These same idiots clamored for Matt Flynn to start. Yet, we blow out the patsies, got screwed out of a win at Auburn and had a bad game against Florida and it's time to can the coach. This mentality is too stupid for words.
This is cazy. Yes, I am disapointed that we have 2 losses, but I also realize that Florida and Auburn are both very talented teams, just like we are. I also realize that Miles is growing into his job, just like Tubberville has. Remember a couple of years ago, AU wanted Tubbs head, now he is an icon. He has grown into a better coach and learned from his mistakes. I think Miles is doing the same thing right now. Meyer is also doing the same thing in Florida. Saban grew as a coach from the time he came here untill he left, Miles will do the same thing. Just bc the man cannot complete a sentance, does not make him STUPID.
LVT- you are so right, and I'm glad you noted:"To an extent" because I think even there, Miles has added some big-time players: Al Woods, Ryan Perrilloux, Keiland Williams, Francois, to name a few. Hadn't heard from you in a while. Good to see you on the board- enjoy your posts, they are always level-headed and stated with class. :thumb:
Ahh..how easy it is to forget beating 8-0 #3 ranked Alabama...on the road...after making perfect halftime adjustments to come back from a 10-0 hole. We all thought LSU would end up 10-2, possibly 9-3, so what's the problem.
Thanks for posting this for me! I just havn't the time to give these types of history lessons today. Mac's teams were dominate and I believe we got screwed out of playing in the Cotton bowl in 69, by notre dame, when we were ranked with an opportunity to win the national title.
