I've often wondered that if the "process" makes you that miserable in order to win, then what's the point?
$$$$$$ Of course that's what everything boils down to. Was that a Gump player or just a fan? THAT would be something to bring up on the recruiting trail if it's an actual player. Talk about an eye-opener!
I find it sort of sad that Les has never been to a bar in the state of Louisiana. Not that I want him to be a falling down drunk, but it seems to me that the ability to stop for a beer after a tough day's work is almost a God given right. I see where he's coming from -- doesn't want to get caught in an awkward position on some idiot's cell phone camera -- and I'd be willing to bet that, if he walked into the wrong bar at the wrong time, even with the best of intentions, some drunk might ultimately take a poke at him. I realize he's well compensated for what he does and certainly my heart doesn't bleed for him when it comes to money. But that still struck me as sad.
The problem is, these kids that play for him and are DESTINED to be millionaires don't know that yet.
