They didn't defend him, but they were fine with the new 6 game suspension policy for the first offense that Goodell submitted later. My point is that only when the video surfaced and they figured there would be greater public outrage did they suddenly change their stance to unanimously support a season ending suspension. It reminded me of how all of the politicians stand behind a popular achievement for camera ops even though they had little or nothing to do with it. The converse is true this time, they have a hated act that they can get behind without fear of being politically incorrect. This just in, speaking of politicians, Obama has seized the opportunity to speak out against the domestic violence today. I wonder if any other politicians will get their two cents in.
This is very true. It's the same way the NFL all of the sudden started "caring" about head injuries once they got sued.
I don’t think he is going to make it to another season personally. This was a major fuck up under his watch.
Goodell selected ex FBI director Robert Mueller to lead the "independent" investigation. Mueller is essentially on the payroll of the NFL as it currently stands. But he is supposedly going to investigate this with integrity. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...t-mueller-will-investigate-ray-rice-situation
The radio was talking about this yesterday afternoon. This is amazing and to me points to noting else but a cover up. The Shield came in and put to end this interview and rewrote the answer. http://deadspin.com/bill-polian-disagrees-with-bill-polians-insider-opinion-1633593081
