The Reverend Doctor Shepard is going to have his hands full getting his starting wideout position back from Beckham.
True Red, OBJ has been playing great. The guy doesn't mind blocking. With him and Landry, the WR position has looked well.
Based on his performance so far I see no way he could take it back without Beckham being injured. He has super great hands and his route running will only get better.
Yeah I don't see Shepard getting a lot of reps at WR. I think we will try to get a couple of running plays (end arounds, that kind of stuff) to get him into space, but I can't see Beckham sitting while Shepard drops key passes thrown to him and makes little or no effect on our offense.
Sheps' best chance at seeing the field is by beating out Landry or Boone. I don't think OBJ has done anything to hurt his playing time...in fact, if anything, he's solidified his spot, IMO.
I can agree with the original post. I was a bit disappointed with penalties, but other than that I found it to be a pretty solid game.
