YOU ARE TOO KIND ... QB = B ... Lee was serviceable ... and the one pick :dis: RB = A ... Ware was in beast mode again ... agree, he is our # 1 WR = B ... Beckham is up and coming TE = C ... Agree here ... expected more from Peterson O-line = B ... Penalties drove me crazy and ended drives Overall Offense = B D-line = A+ ... Unbelievable performance LB = C+ ... The only times they threatened were breakdowns by the LB corps (3rd down conversions that drove me nuts) DB = A+++ ... Unbelievable performance ... Mo Claiborne!!! Overall Defense = A- Special Teams = D ... Our achilles heel ... Wing returns next week ... pray that he does Coaching = B ... Should have blown this game open earlier and scored near 30 points ... But Les is more, right!
I stopped reading after your :dis: over Lee's lone INT.... 131 straight without a pick and you make it sound like it's '08 all over again. Only 1 QB in LSU history (Risher in '82) had a more lengthy time of pass attempts without an INT (137). drinking the Hater-ade much?
Again, not giving Lee an A+ tonight just makes no sense. I've had as much doubt as anyone, but you can't take away from what he did against a good team on the road with a host of young receivers and very predicable play calling. Absolutely outstanding game for Lee.
Shep is ahead of Landry and Boone by default, he will not have to beat them out. If Odell Beckham, Jr. continues to get touches it will not be at the expense of Shep.
It wouldn't have an impact on grades - but can anyone provide some intelligent reason for that terrible onside kick? Is it so much confidence in the D that the risk is worthwhile?
poor pass attempt to Peterson on a critical third down inside the 5, another critical 3rd down pass that was thrown way off, and a couple of other longer 3rd down attempts in which we didn't get the ball down the field far enough for a first down I can't see how you give an A+ with some fairly decent miscues in there. He played extremely well, but he'll be the first to tell you it was far from perfect.
Not sure what you mean by "terrible" onside kick. It was a great decision and executed pretty well, the MSU guy barely jumped on it before an LSU guy was right on top of him. We almost stole one. We have that much confidence with our D to do this. Excellent call, considering the average field position was pretty much where the MSU guy fell on the ball.
Pissed me off to no end we couldn't keep them near the 20 starting their drives ... we need that soccer chick NOW Sign that split-tail up if she can kick a ball near 90 yards :yelwink2:
I thought it was a poor decision, of course had it worked out otherwise I might have claimed it genius. If alcoholic memory serves it came with a 3 point lead with some momentum on the MSU side of the ball. Disagee as I'd rather give msu a longer field to try and make plays against our d.
