My favorite play was the critically acclaimed drama called " The 2003 National Championship " starring the LSU defense and the musical score was fabulous. And the acting OMG when we tackled that QB in the end i knew we would get the Acadamy Award for best drama in a sports or entertainment live broadcast. I love those happy endings .

My second favorite was when " The Grey Ghost " scored on the last play of the game on that blocked field goal.

All 19 of Josh Reed's receptions against Bama in 2000. He had 293 yards receiving that day. Michael Clayton had over 100 if I remember correctly.

I was in that corner of the endzone for the ASU win, amazing play after playing poorly the entire game. ASU fans were absolutely sick!
I saw Kinchen return a punt against ATM in Tiger Stadium that was a great run as well.
The last sack of Jason White in the Nat Champ game.
This year at Tennessee to win with 7 seconds left.

These were the greatest plays I have seen in person. The ones on the road were great because of the reaction of the losing team, cant beat that.

First thing I thought of, actually. A controversial play, one run w/ 0:01 left on the clock that beats your bitter rival...that's a big play, IMO.

I was at that game. :yelwink2: They were filming for the movie at I believe it was an Alabama game. We all dressed retro for the occasion. They did some filming at halftime.

    I wuz there.

September 29th, 1990, 1 week after our wedding out here (we went there for our honeymoon, so I got to see the game with my new bride).

My bro scored us tix on the 50 right below the press box - supposedly they belonged to a state senator...

And the Tigs did not disappoint that night, upsetting the Aggies 17-9.

What I remember most about that runback is that he angled it across the field, probably adding an extra 40 yards to the return...barely making the goal line, falling across in the corner just as the A&M guy caught him...

    GREAT FREAKIN' PUNT RETURN.... :thumb:

To me the bluegrass miracle was one of the most "exciting" plays but not one of the greatest. Not great because it did not have Championship implications, yeah it won a game and will always be one of the top "miracle plays" of all time but it just did not have that National Championship or SEC Championship impact.

So for a great play I will go with two from the NC team: (1) Spears pick six in Sugar Bowl and (2) Skyler TD against UGA to me that is the play that sticks out in my mind from that season.

I will also throw out a play that has not been mentioned yet, 1996 Kevin Faulk punt return for a TD against Houston. I know this does not meet my criteria for Championship significance but at that point in LSU football history the Tigers were not at that Championship level, and that was a win early in the season and was one of the single loudest moments that I recall in Tiger Stadium and I have been to hundreds of games. And it capped an credible fourth quarter come back and was at a time where Tiger fans were "bringing the magic back" to Saturday Nights in Tiger Stadium.
