Our local radio idiots (Ott, Krysan) continue to diss him. Ott especially, I think he thinks that his show is based in Tuscalosa.
How could you not? I am glad to have him. I think it took some of us a while to warm up to his unorthadox ways but in the end he is a great coach.:miles:
I heard Mike S on the radio for the first time the other day. Didn't sound like he had any either. Seriously, that guy gave the dumbest answers to questions it was obvious he didn't know instead of just saying, "I'm not sure." Was SO trying to act like he had insider info about what was going to happen with QB play, etc. after the jar head was drop kicked.
Nice to see props paid to Les finally. After all these years people are starting to recognize his coaching ability. Yeah he's a character, but I guarantee you don't want to coach against his team as they come at you prepared for a war.
Thanks islstl. Good stuff. I didn't feel that Brent and "Herbie" talked about what an incredible coaching Les did in preparing for this game. It is nice to see someone noticed!
I'll join ya. He is who he is. I would love a great passing game, but in exchange we get a ferocious defense that strikes fear in the opponent. He's a deciple of Bo and his formula is running the ball, play great defense and special teams and play with passion. His team exemplifies these traits to a T.
Yeah I heard a lot of excuses being made for Oregon, as if they were shooting themselves in the foot and the LSU defense had absolutely nothing to do with it. That was typical Musberger. Then the cramps, yada, yada, yada.
Coach [Miles] said run it down their throats, let's eat them alive and let's be physical," said Ware. "That's what we did." This is typical of Miles way of coaching. He believes in power football and he excells at teaching his players how to use their strengths to their advantage.
